After winning the award for the Best Central and Eastern European documentary at the 17th Jihlava International Film Festival last October, “Winter / Miracle” by Željka Sukova and Gustavo Beck (production: UKUS Association, DOX:LAB, If You Hold a Stone) will be shown in Brussels as well.
Within the 44th Revue of Amateur Films in Kvarner (KRAF), which was held on 7th December at Art-kino Croatia in Rijeka, Željka Suková and Aleš Suk, the filmmakers behind the Association UKUS, held the Masterclass called “Garden of withered carnations.”
“Winter / Miracle”, a docuficion allegory by Željka Sukova and Brasilian director Gustavo Beck (Croatia, Dennmark, Brasil, 2012: production: Udruga UKUS, DOX:LAB, If you hold a stone) won the Best Central and Eastern European Documentary Film award at the 17th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
15 renowned film tutors, around 30 participants from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the guests from HAVC, Polish HBO, Aljazeera Balkans and Slovenian MEDIA Desk, all resided in Rijeka from 17 to 22 July, at the international workshop of creative documentary Ex Oriente Film intended for film professionals.
Well-known international film workshop Ex Oriente Film will be held in Rijeka, from 17th to 22nd July, for the first time in Croatia, and with the special addition – a local initiative for development of hybrid film called «Refineri.»
